*Come and See* is an unflinching war drama that follows a young Belarusian boy who eagerly joins the Soviet resistance during the Nazi occupation in World War II, only to witness the unimaginable horrors of war firsthand. Through its immersive cinematography, groundbreaking sound design, and extraordinary central performance by Aleksei Kravchenko, Elem Klimov's film becomes less a conventional war movie than a harrowing psychological journey, delivering one of cinema's most visceral and unforgettable portrayals of the human cost of conflict.
