Follow the complex, bloody realities of Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan as he shifts allegiances to secure Spanish funding for his landmark expedition to Southeast Asia. Stripping away romanticized myths of the Age of Discovery, the narrative unflinchingly confronts the devastating human cost of early-16th-century colonial campaigns. Through meticulously composed, long-take cinematography, the film captures both the sweeping grandeur of maritime exploration and the harsh subjugation inflicted upon indigenous populations. Central themes examine power, systemic injustice, and the devastating friction points where empire-building collides with localized humanity. It offers an immersive, spiritually charged meditation that asks viewers to re-examine history entirely through the perspectives of those displaced by conquest.

The film is in Portuguese, Spanish, Cebuano, French, Latin with English subtitles.
