In The Beloved (El ser querido), Javier Bardem delivers a fierce, career-best performance in Rodrigo Sorogoyen’s gripping new drama about a legendary filmmaker and his estranged actress daughter. Forced to work together on a new film, old wounds resurface as their fragile reunion turns increasingly tense and explosive. Shot across multiple visual formats, The Beloved creates a constant sense of unease that mirrors its emotionally charged story.
Join us for this exclusive Q&A session with the film’s director, Rodrigo Sorogoyen, following the premiere at the Amsterdam Spanish Film Festival.
The film is in Spanish with English subtitles.
