Two brothers, a beautiful Montana landscape, and a lifelong bond shaped by love, fishing, and the very different paths they take. A River Runs Through It is Robert Redford’s quietly beautiful coming-of-age drama about family, faith, and the things we can’t always save.
It’s reflective without being too heavy, with gorgeous scenery and that very 90s feeling of a film that takes its time. Brad Pitt is particularly great as the charismatic, troubled younger brother. James L. Brooks and Jack Nicholson do what they do best: they combine clever dialogue with flawless acting to create innovative entertainment within the romantic comedy genre.
A slow river, a complicated family, and plenty to think about afterwards.

The film is in English without subtitles.
