Romance, ballroom dancing, and the quiet realisation that life might have something more in store for us. Shall We Dance? is celebrating its 30th anniversary, and we're bringing the original Japanese film back to the big screen!
Yoji Yamada's 1996 film follows a seemingly ordinary salaryman whose curiosity about a mysterious dance instructor leads him into the world of ballroom dancing. What begins as a secret escape from his routine slowly becomes a story about loneliness, connection, and finding joy in unexpected places.
For the lovers of romantic movies, this is a chance to discover — or revisit — a tender, understated gem. Come join us for a little romance, a little dancing, and a lovely evening at the cinema.
